Rainbow Dreams

Jyothi (Jo) was very anxious as it was her first onsite trip. She had been working her onsite plans for nearly 6 months and it became fruitful only now. Her flight was at 12 a.m the next day and she was still in office completing her existing pending work for the current project. She had already packed her luggages the day before. She was about to start from office and received a call from a landline number around 3 p.m. She was shocked to hear that her flight had been preponed to 9.30 p.m and the connecting flight to Dubai was about to start in an hour from Chennai airport. She called her home and informed them to quickly start from their house with all the luggages and pick her up from office as her office was only half an hour drive to airport. But it would take 1 hr for her parents to drive to her office. She called the airlines officials to buy some time so that she will not miss the connecting flight. She was filled with relief to hear that they would wait for extra half an hou...

The Culinary Effect

While it has been a very long time since I penned down my last post, I was looking out for something fascinating to instigate my next post. Scathingly, there has always been a foolhardy connection between me and the foodstuff and so that became the subject matter this time. Earlier it was Varsha who experienced the alleged effect of cookery along with me and this time it was Monica. We had planned for a get together amongst the four of us and hence parted away with the jeopardy of cooking. We premeditated to drive into some nice restaurant and gorge at our feast. I managed to arrive to the appointed place, whereas my other friends escaped elsewhere saying gibberish reasons. As luck would have it, I was left at the mercy of Moni for my lunch, as our plan for the day became an utter droop. I had at least got myself acquainted with one or two recipes and thought of trying my hand in it.. But Moni, with a graceful heart decided to give a solo performance in the Kitchen. I was even more ba...

My First Abscission

Right from our childhood we have a myth that surgeries are intricate, painful and panic. I’m no exception to it. I had to go to a dermatologist for a skin treatment who in turn advised me to go for a dental examination. I had managed to find a dentist nearby. Reading the name board I thought that the doctor might be in her mid 40’s or so. But to my great awe, she was much younger than I had anticipated. She welcomed us with a broad smile and took a general ordeal of my precious teeth. She told me that I had wisdom teeth, which when left unattended can cause very serious infections at a later stage. She suggested that I go in for a Scaling and OPG (Dental X-ray). Wisdom teeth appear as the last tooth in the mouth and begin to erupt in the age range of 16-25 years. When the dentist determines that no room exists for the wisdom teeth to erupt into a normal position, the decision then becomes, do you wait for the infection to occur or do you remove the tooth before infection and pain begi...
